SAND LAKE -- Josephine Yurkon Gauch, died May 1, 2001. She was born in Amsterdam, NY, September 27, 1916 to Ursula and Joseph Yurkon. Mrs. Gauch graduated from Wilbur Lynch Senior High School in 1934 and Albany Business College. She was a former employee of the General Electric Company, Schenectady, Internal Revenue Service, Albany and Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet. Mrs. Gauch retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Albany, in 1982. She was a communicant of St. Henry's Church, Averill Park and a member of the Sand Lake Seniors.
