NSW: Protest teachers could be disciplined: NSW govt

The New South Wales government has warned that any teacher involved in organising a
protest with primary school children outside state parliament could be severely disciplined.

Education Minister JOHN AQUILINA's warning follows yesterday's rally, held during school
hours, in which about 30 pupils from Undercliffe Primary School sang nursery rhymes naming
Transport Minister CARL SCULLY.

The group was protesting against plans by the government to erect a 40-metre tunnel
emission stack on the M5, near the school.

Students sang a variation of WALTZING MATILDA beginning with the words Waltzing Matilda,
CARL SCULLY killed her.

And in a rendition of Old MacDonald Had A Farm, they sang Mr SCULLY wants a stack,
ee-i-ee-i-o.
