The excellent article in Escape Times on December 14, "Grand garden will fill your senses", had one error which I feel I should point out.
The name of the first director of Kirstenbosch Gardens was incorrectly stated as Henry Pearson. His first name was, in fact, Harold.
He was appointed first director of Kirstenbosch in 1913.
